About Rachel
Rachel Thompson is a dedicated pastor, speaker, author, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of ministry experience. Alongside her husband, Vester, she co-founded The House of Refuge Intl. Church in Prentiss, Mississippi, where she has passionately taught faith, healing, and prosperity with clarity and conviction.
She is a graduate of Prentiss High School and Geiger Beauty/Cosmetology School. She been an entrepreneur since the age of 23 and has since built a thriving career. She has successfully launched and managed multiple businesses, including Sassy Scissors Beauty Salon and Supply, V&R Trucking and Welding Service, and Rachel’s Dispatching Service. She is also into real estate Investing.
As a business coach, she has helped others establish trucking and brokerage companies across various states. Committed to community service, Rachel co-founded Raisola Park, a seven- acre recreational space honoring her late mother. As an author, Rachel has written The Encourager newsletter, The Healing Package, and Set Free, a book focused on overcoming grief, bitterness, and unforgiveness. She also leads The Healing Room Ministry, providing spiritual and emotional restoration through prayer and teaching.
Rachel is deeply committed to serving others, volunteering at food pantries and nursing homes, and offering encouragement and faith-based guidance. She serves as a prayer coach, leading Saturday morning prayer sessions to teach effective prayer. Recognized for her entrepreneurial success, Rachel and her husband were honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Jefferson Davis County Chamber of Commerce. Under the spiritual covering of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, they continue to expand their ministry and business ventures, empowering others through faith, leadership, and service.
